Records include: vital statistics, birth, marriage, and death certificates, and Business Certificates (d/b/as), appeals and decisions of the Zoning Board of Appeals and Planning Boards, and filings of notices of meetings and various minutes of Committees of the community, underground storage licenses and renewals.
Most documents are Public Record.
Various licenses are issued through this department including but not limited to: dogs, auctioneer and transient vendors, closing out sales and miscellaneous documents.
The minutes of the Town Council, ordinances, and the list of appropriations and the annual town reports are also filed in this office.
Vital Records Requests
Copies of Birth, Death, and Marriage records can be ordered at the counter in the Clerk's Office or by mail. All vital records are $10 per copy. Payment by cash, check, or money order is required to place an order. Copies will be ready the following business day for pick-up or mailing.
